Our level of moving-labor service is more than just brawn or strength - it's brains and experience. We consider how your particular piece can withstand certain handling techniques, and the various pressures. For example, a chest of drawers will begin to sway left and right if moved while containing loaded drawers. When the joints are stressed and loosened, then a debilitation occurs leading to sway.
We avoid the use of the truck's ramp. Ramps cause broken legs, accidents, and too many people in the truck. Patrick is the gate keeper at the truck, and he knows how to organize the furniture with several concurrent constraints in mind. 1) Grouping of certain types of items to protect glass within mattresses and locking bed frames into a corner. Placement of larger items to maintain the aforementioned. Heavier items on bottom - lighter items on top. 2) Arranging the items to maximize the utility of the truck or POD. 3) Sometimes arranging the chronology with 1) and 2) in mind, but also with you stopping at Uncle Harry's house on the way for drop off.
